Although the trail is already a very popular area for birding, fishing, and hiking, the Blueberry Hill and Zoo Trail to Owen’s Lake is also a great route to take when horseback riding. 

The Blueberry Hill and Zoo Trail to Owen’s Lake goes from one end of the park to the other, starting off at Ashburn Road and then returning via a different route. Riders and hikers will encounter uphill climbing going to the route, but coming back, it will all be downhill climbing from there. The best times to ride your four-legged friends on this trail are during April through October. Dogs are welcome but they must be on a leash.

The best time to ride through the Northside Trail is during December through October. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash.
